- Since December 2021, I have been working for the City of Augsburg, where I head the Smart City Office.
- Before that, I worked at Red Hat from 2018 to 2021, with responsibility for Germany and the DACH region. Earlier stages of my career included positions at Sun Microsystems, IBM Germany and NetApp.
- I have been organising poetry slams in Augsburg since 1998. It all started with Lauschangriff at the Kresslesmühle. In 2013, the event moved to the Augsburg theatre as GRAND SLAM. Anyone interested in upcoming events can also subscribe to the newsletter.
- I was one of the founders of a citizens’ initiative campaigning for a new public library in Augsburg. The new library was eventually built and opened in 2009. Today, I serve on the board of Freunde der Stadtbücherei Augsburg e.V., the Friends of Augsburg City Library.
- I am a member of the Chaos Computer Club e.V. (CCC) and Wikimedia Deutschland – Gesellschaft zur Förderung Freien Wissens e. V.. I also support the Free Software Foundation Europe e.V. (FSFE).
